The script called for Mumford to look out his window and see the entire town watching the same TV show. Hundreds of TVs were placed in the background plate, and the camera move was added.

Mumford’s patient Skip tries to create the perfect “virtual” woman. These three sequences appear on computer screens in Skip’s lab. The director (Kasdan) wanted the sequences to look “computery,” but still maintain lifelike movement. This goal was accomplished using state of the art Optical Motion Capture
